Dr. Martinez is a board-certified psychiatrist and addictionologist. His career has included both administration and clinical work and in the field of mental health and addictive disorders. At Matrix, his focus is to raise the profile of the organization's evidence-based treatment, to enhance the scope of Medication Assisted Treatment, to further develop the Training Department, and to assure Matrix continues the high-quality treatment for which it is known. He has given speeches at several national and international conferences, has authored book chapters, and teaches fellows, residents, and medical students at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is the founder of The Solstice Clinic, a multi-disciplinary addiction treatment program.
Dr. Martinez is a graduate of Harvard University, and completed his medical studies at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed residency at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Program, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Martinez also completed the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the UCLA-Neuropsychiatric Institute, where he continues to serve as a volunteer clinical faculty member.

Working with these partners enables Anxiety.org to extend its commitment to its mission. All the donations received, as well as 100% of Anxiety.org revenue in 2019, will be contributed to build, develop, and further the understanding, investigation, discovery, and treatment of the full spectrum of anxiety and related disorders.
