After completing her internship at the Long Beach VA hospital, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the UCLA Anxiety Disorders Research Center. She has a rich research and clinical background in depressive and anxiety disorders and has authored several scientific journal articles and a book chapter on those topics.
